What is the difference between the different types of window shades?

Generally, roller shades diffuse the light that enters the room while obstructing the view from the outside to give you privacy. Blackout roller shades will block 100% of the natural light and is perfect for bedrooms and home theatres. Solar shades are a bit different, depending on the tightness of the weave (1%, 3%, 5% or 10%) you will be able to have a great view to the outdoors, but they offer less privacy than other types of roller shades.

Do you offer a warranty on your custom roller shades for windows?

Yes, we offer a 5 year warranty on the fabric and a lifetime warranty for the mechanism. For more information on our warranty, please see our warranty policy.

Are the fabric colours that are displayed online accurate?

Although we try as hard as possible to match them, depending on the type of device you are using, the colours online may not reflect the exact fabric colour. To be sure of your choice, we recommend ordering free samples prior to making your purchase.

MEASURE & INSTALLATION

Do I need to hire a professional to measure my windows?

Taking window measurements is easy and can be for the most part be done without the need for a professional. Visit our How to Measure page for our recommendations on how to measure to get the perfect fit or contact us for measuring assistance.

Can I install my window treatments myself?

It is definitely possible to do your own installation. You order comes will all the necessary hardware and instructions for an easy installation. All you need is a screwdriver or drill.

Is an instruction guide for installation included?

Yes, an instruction booklet in included. Installation instructions are also available online on our How to Install  page. Please contact us if you have any questions during installation and we'll be happy to assist.

AFTER ORDERING

How long will it take to receive my roller shades once my order is placed online?

Our standard delivery time is approximately 10 to 12 business days from the date of order. You also have the option on choosing express manufacturing if you need your window roller to arrive more urgently. When you choose this option, your order will be placed in priority for manufacture.

Can I track the status of my order online?

Yes, you can follow the Order Status link to track the status of your order. Enter your order number and telephone number (including area code) to be able to see at what stage your order is at.

How is my order delivered?

Your order will be delivered by Fedex courier service. An email with the order tracking number will be sent to you at least 24 hours before delivery.

MOTORIZATION

What are my options for motorized window shades?

Motorization is becoming more popular and accessible for homeowners. We offer 3 types of motorization packages: battery, solar and wired. Each package includes a remote and battery charger, if applicable. All of our motorized systems are delivered pre-programmed and are ready for operation once installed.
